NS8420 switch is an open network core switch designed for hyperscale data centers. This compact 4RU box-type fixed device provides 128 full-rate 400GbE ports. It supports the next-generation data center and cloud computing Leaf-Spine three-tier network architecture. Based on the advanced hardware-software decoupling design, it offers users a line-rate, non-blocking high-performance forwarding with up to 51.2T switching capacity. This switch is pre-installed with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) and supports the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS), including open-source Sonic and various commercial NOS options.
